On this episode we chat with Integrative Wellness Coach, Carly Reeder, all about her path to true health and wellness.
Like many of us, Carly has had her own healing journey. It all began in college, drinking too much alcohol, smoking cigarettes, eating fast food late night, and living an overall unhealthy life as a means to cope with stress (which is sadly all too common on American college campuses). Soon she was diagnosed with an anxiety disorder and developed tremors, prompting doctors to prescribe her with anti-anxiety and anti-depression pharmaceuticals. But the pills didn't get to the root cause and her health continued to fail.
Everything shifted after Carly started practicing yoga, opening up a whole new world and changing her life forever! It was then that the long journey to healing began. For the next decade she would study yoga, pilates, massage therapy, and Ayurvedic nutrition, along with discovering the best ways to deal with stress and truly nourish the person as a whole - mind, body, and spirit.

The USDA doesn't think so, as documents reveal the agency informed the egg industry against using the terms like "health" or "safe" when promoting eggs because it violates rules against false and misleading advertising. On this episode we crack the egg wide open, examining the research, the conflicting information, and what it all says.

Today’s guest is no stranger to health issues, as she’s experienced them as a teenager and as an adult.
After having her 4th child, Kristen Bowen started experiencing urinary incontinence. She did what many women are told to do and had surgery. Immediately after (and even during the procedure itself) Kristen’s most traumatic health journey began. She started experiencing seizures, was unable to walk, confined to a wheelchair, her hair was falling out, and she got down to 74 pounds. As she searched for answers her family was running through their savings, going from doctor to doctor, even visiting the Mayo Clinic and Stanford, but no one was able to help her. It wasn’t until getting to their wit's end, both financially and emotionally, that they finally received some answers from a PA willing to dig deep. And while her major symptoms improved, there was still work to be done!
Kristen's story took a powerful turn after a friend suggested soaking in magnesium. Not only did the magnesium help her truly recover, but it sparked a new passion and mission! She created her own company, Living the Good Life Naturally, sourcing the very best magnesium possible to help people everywhere obtain this essential mineral in the most effective and efficient way, through the skin!
