Ep 44: My path to becoming a holistic lifestyle and wellness coach came about from my own traumatic experience of healing an autoimmune disease. After spending years exploring and learning about nutrition, gut microbiome health, and the mind-body-spirit connection, I finally had success and was healing my body. I decided to take this new knowledge and help others. Today I chat about my story, why I became a health coach, and how I made it all happen! I also chat about the podcast and my approach going forward.

Ep 43: On today's episode we chat with one of my closest friends, April Duckworth, about some of her most profound life experiences. April became a vegetarian at an early age, but her relationship with food wasn't in a good place. She struggled with an eating disorder for over a decade and it wasn't until she became a plant-based vegan that her relationship with food totally shifted. However, because of those traumatic years her body still had a lot of healing to do as she dealt with thyroid problems and infertility. But just as she and her husband started looking into adoption a miracle happened, she found out she was pregnant! They now have a beautiful baby boy! She was able to overcome her thyroid issues and conceive naturally with the help of a WFPD. Her story is a perfect example of the power of a plant-based diet, hope, and being true to yourself!

Wednesday May 13, 2020
Ep 39: Today’s guest, Sarah Megrue, has had quite the health journey. After slowly becoming ill in her late twenties, experiencing a whole host of symptoms including hair loss, anemia, and digestive distress, doctors didn’t have an answer for her. She bounced from different doctors and even tried the Mayo Clinic, but got little to no relief or direction. Eventually she found a functional doctor who suggested a raw plant-based diet. It was no time before she began feeling better! Her new lifestyle even helped her anxiety and panic attacks that she’d been dealing with. We chat about story, including the identity crisis, shame, and emotional aspect that went along with this life changing experience. We touch some on my own story (Rebecca Hinson), how I became plant-based, FMT’s, shifting beliefs, and more!

Ep 38: Going plant-based can be daunting at first. It can prove to be even more of a challenge when trying to get ones whole family on board. For Liz Wood, the shift came slowly. On this episode of the podcast we talk about her family's experience eating vegan and how it's changed their lives.
Liz, who is a partner and director of the barre program of HYLO Fitness, is also passionate about fitness and has been her whole life, coming from a family of athletes. We talk about her background with different fitness avenues and what resonates with her most today. We also chat about her experience with breast implants, BII (breast implant infection), American culture, Standard American Diet, and gluten.
